The Egyptian Social Democratic Party condemns in the strongest terms the Israeli flagrant violation of the ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, which has so far led to the deaths of more than 356 people. A martyr and 2,600 wounded, mostly children and women, in a preliminary result of Israeli aerial bombardment of homes, schools, shelters and tents in Gaza Strip.

This blatant violation of the ceasefire, like its predecessors, is a continuation of Israel’s approach to behave like a rogue state that breaks all the laws and customs of nations. It reiterates that the Israeli occupation does not respect any obligations or commitments aimed at protecting innocent civilians and calming the situation in the region.

This dangerous escalation by the extremist Netanyahu government is part of a systematic scheme that seeks to forcibly displace the population of the Gaza Strip and impose a new reality on the ground through continued aggression, siege and starvation.

The occupation is exploiting the state of war and repeated violations to force Palestinians to displace themselves, in an attempt to impose an agenda of mass displacement, a full-blown war crime that calls for urgent international action.

We warn that the continuation of these crimes will lead to further escalation and instability in the entire region and impose direct responsibility on the international community, especially the Security Council and the sponsors of the ceasefire, to take immediate and decisive action to prevent the occupation from carrying out its criminal plans.
